Merry Christmas!
We, St. John’s Cathedral Choir sang Mozart/Missa Solemnis in C K.337 with orchestra at Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, and also beautiful Anthem The Isaiah Carols/Kim André Arnesen who is Norwegian composer. The sound is so pure and the text is really telling to our world for making a balance and harmony.
Music text from Isaiah 11:6-9
The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them.
Alleluia, alleluia!
The cow will feed with the bear,
their young will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
Alleluia, alleluia!
The infant will play near the cobra’s den,
and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
Alleluia, alleluia!
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Wish you all a very blessed and wonderful Christmas, and peaceful New Year 2020.
