As you know, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Claude Debussy in 2012.
I would like to introduce a great CD called “Préludes” that was released by French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard.
今年はドビュッシーの生誕150年にあたります。フランスのピアニスト　Pierre-Laurent Aimard ピエール＝ロラン・エマールが、Grammophon からPréludes のCDを出しました。

The CD contains book 1 and book 2.
I myself am personally interested in “Les sons et les parfums tournent dans l’air du soir” and “La cathédrale engloutie”. Aimard produces a full range of color and illumination in his sound and never displays extremes. I think this is his special ability, to express such a fantastic sound. Aimard alone can do so. For this CD recording, the piano was prepared by Mr. Stefan Knupfer who is the top technician of Steinway Austria. His documentary movie “PIANOMANIA” was released 2009. This is all about creating the tone and the sound of piano with love and perfection. I was quite interested in the movie which features Aimard. The preview was in London. Link 
また、この録音のピアノ技術者は、ステファン氏Stefan Knupfer　オーストリアSteinway のトップテクニシャンで、彼の音創りについてのドキュメンタリー映画「PIANOMANIA」が2009年公開され、ロンドンでも試写会がありました。この映画の中に、エマールも登場します。エマールは自分の理想の音をはっきりと思い描いており、音の出る瞬間のみならず、その音が伸びている時もです。じっくりとお互いの意見交換をしながら、それに近づけていくステファン氏。音創りに密着した内容で大変面白かったです。このCDもエマールとステファン氏の音創りの追及があります。音色がとてもすばらしいです。リンク
